H Επίτροπος Προστασίας των Δικαιωμάτων του Παιδιού και το Πανεπιστήμιο UCLan Cyprus ψάχνουν άτομα (παιδιά ή ενήλικες) που δρουν ή έδρασαν κατά την παιδική τους ηλικία ως προασπιστές Ανθρωπίνων Δικαιωμάτων.

Τα άτομα που θα συμμετάσχουν στο πρόγραμμα πρέπει να διηγηθούν μια προσωπική ιστορία που αφορά:
(α) Την προάσπιση των δικών τους δικαιωμάτων (π.χ. σε περίπτωση σχολικού εκφοβισμού ή σε περίπτωση διακρίσεων λόγω φύλου, καταγωγής, αναπηρίας, γλώσσας κ.α.), ή
(β) Την προάσπιση των δικαιωμάτων κάποιου άλλου παιδιού ή ομάδας παιδιών (π.χ. σε περίπτωση σχολικού εκφοβισμού ή σε περίπτωση διακρίσεων λόγω φύλου, καταγωγής, αναπηρίας, γλώσσας κ.α.), ή
(γ) Την προάσπιση ανθρωπίνων δικαιωμάτων ευρύτερα στην κοινωνία (π.χ. γενικές δράσεις κατά των διακρίσεων, δράσεις που αφορούν την προστασία του περιβάλλοντος ή οποιουδήποτε άλλου κοινωνικού προβλήματος, καθώς και δράσεις που προωθούν την προάσπιση των ανθρωπίνων δικαιωμάτων στην κοινωνία).

Οι προσωπικές ιστορίες που θα συλλεχθούν θα χρησιμοποιηθούν για τη δημιουργία εκπαιδευτικού υλικού, το οποίο θα συνοδεύεται και από σχέδια μαθήματος για δύο ηλικιακές ομάδες από 9-15 ετών.

Η επιλογή των παιδιών που θα εκφράσουν ενδιαφέρον για συμμετοχή θα γίνει από διεπιστημονική επιτροπή. Τα παιδιά που θα επιλεχθούν θα συμμετάσχουν σε ατομική συνέντευξη στην οποία θα καταγραφεί η δράση τους. Μπορούν επίσης να παραχωρήσουν φωτογραφικό υλικό από τις δράσεις τους.



Εάν είσαι άτομο κάτω των 18 χρονών και η ιστορία σου επιλεγεί για το εκπαιδευτικό υλικό, θα ζητηθεί γραπτή συγκατάθεση γονέα ή κηδεμόνα για τη συμμετοχή σου.



Πληροφορίες για τη δράση:
Το πρόγραμμα «Παιδιά προασπιστές Ανθρωπίνων Δικαιωμάτων» υλοποιείται από την Επίτροπο Προστασίας των Δικαιωμάτων του Παιδιού στην Κυπριακή Δημοκρατία και εκτελείται από το Πανεπιστήμιο UCLan Cyprus.

Στόχος του προγράμματος είναι η δημιουργία ενός εγχειριδίου για εκπαιδευτικούς που θα περιλαμβάνει πληροφορίες, σχέδια μαθήματος και δραστηριότητες που αφορούν την καλλιέργεια της επίγνωσης και προάσπισης των Ανθρωπίνων Δικαιωμάτων.

Σκοπός της συλλογής προσωπικών ιστοριών είναι η ανάδειξη προσωπικών εμπειριών παιδιών ή ενηλίκων που ως παιδιά έχουν λάβει ενεργή δράση για την προάσπιση των ανθρωπίνων δικαιωμάτων, είτε για προσωπικούς λόγους, είτε με κάποια άλλη αφορμή που αφορούσε στα ανθρώπινα δικαιώματα συγκεκριμένων κοινωνικών ομάδων ή την κοινωνία ευρύτερα.

Η ομάδα συγγραφής του εγχειριδίου θα διαχειριστεί και θα φυλάξει όλα τα πιο κάτω στοιχεία, τις ηχογραφήσεις και τις φωτογραφίες με άκρα εμπιστευτικότητα, με βάση την ισχύουσα νομοθεσία της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας, και την Πολιτική Προστασίας Δεδομένων Προσωπικού Χαρακτήρα του Γραφείου της Επίτροπου Προστασίας των Δικαιωμάτων του Παιδιού και του Πανεπιστημίου UCLan Cyprus.

The Commissioner for Children’s Rights and University UCLan Cyprus are looking for individuals (children or adults) who are or have been active during their childhood in defending Human Rights!

To join the project, the participants will need to narrate a personal experience which concerns:

(a) The defending of their own personal rights (e.g. in a case of bullying, or in case of discrimination due to their gender, origin, a disability, mother tongue or other); or

(b) The defending of the rights of another child or a group of children (e.g. in a case of bullying, or in case of discrimination due to their gender, their origin, a disability, their mother tongue or other); or

(c) The defending of human rights more broadly within society (e.g. general initiatives against discrimination, or activities concerning the protection of the environment, or issues concerning any other social issues or activities that generally promote respect for human rights within society).

The personal stories that shall be selected will be used towards the drafting of educational materials, supplemented by lesson plans for two target audiences of children aged 9-15 years old.

The selection of children that will express an interest of participation will be undertaken by an interdisciplinary committee. The children selected will participate at a personal interview describing their activity, and will be able to share pictures taken during their initiatives.

Further information about the project:

The project “Children Human Rights Defenders” is implemented by the Commissioner for Children’s Rights of the Republic of Cyprus, and executed by the University UCLan Cyprus.

The project’s objective is the drafting of a teaching manual for educators, which will include information, lesson plans and activities to cultivate a culture of conscious promotion and defending of Human Rights.

The aim is to collect personal stories which will showcase the personal experience of persons (children or adults) who as children have actively acted in the defense of human rights, due to their personal circumstances or due to another opportunity that called them to address the human rights issues of specific social groups or society at large.

The project team will save all personal data, any recordings and visual material (pictures) with absolute confidentiality, according to the legislation in force in the Republic of Cyprus, as well as the Data Protection Policies of the Commissioner for Children’s Rights and the University UCLan Cyprus.
